초록
This article presents and analyzes a variety of the usage of Hao and Hage styles in modern Korean language for Korean language learners who need to strategically apply Hao and Hage styles.
 Even though it is known that the usage of Hao or Hage style in colloquial expression is decreasing in modern Korean language, most native Korean speakers acquire the use of formal styles in relative honorifics as a basic language knowledge through media exposure and public education.
 This article suggests that it is worthwhile for Korean language learners to be adequately equipped with the usage of Hao and Hage styles because those styles can be naturally yet intentionally addressed among native Korean speakers due to their cultural literacy embedded through frequent exposure to those styles.
