초록
Jacques Derrida examines philosophical problems of subjectivity embedded in phenomenological and ontological understandings of intentionality in Hegel, Husserl, and Heidegger, and he also ex- plicitly criticizes the totality and absoluteness of subjectivity as the metaphysics of presence upon which their philosophical traditions were founded and developed. Therefore, the main theme in this paper is to investigate how intentional consciousness or intentionality rela- tes the subject to the world and constructs subjectivity and its related world. Derrida’s différance in deconstruction will blur the distinction between subjectivity and objectivity by reinterpreting intentionality and disclosing difference and otherness. After deconstruction of meta- physical subjectivity, the author insists that Derrida will reveal the weakness of subjectivity that will lead us to desire the impossible possibility in the future to come as the unfinished promise of being.
