초록
This paper intends to re/issue the philosophical matter of the same and the other by telling that the same and the other are not two beings or substances or agencies but a mechanism of the subject cognizing worldly beings before it. The cognizing subject arises with the Two. The Two refer to the attractive and the repulsive forces of the same and the other. They are generated by the between, which is the being-between that refers itself to a spacing between the same and the other. This paper attempts to show the between by presenting St. Paul as the crossroad at which the same and the other are intersected. Jean-Luc Marion and Alain Badiou shares M. Heidegger as their respective starting points, and they yet run on the opposite directions. Following up the ways of I. Levinas and J. Derrida, Marion put forth the thought of the gift, presenting the revelation as a gift escaping from the grasp of the idolatrous reason. This gift is symbolized the “God under the cross,” for it comes from the beyond of any human reason, where Heidegger puts his Sein under the cross.
