초록

This study examines misogynistic discourse in an online community through the lens of Conceptual Metaphor Theory, focusing on the metaphor WOMAN IS MERCHANDISE. The data consist of 81,806 posts published in 2024 on DC Inside’s “Stock Gallery,” of which 14,845 posts containing misogynistic expressions were selected for analysis. A corpus-based approach was employed, including frequency analysis, 3-gram analysis, word embedding, and topic modeling. The results show that female-referential terms frequently co-occur with commercial and transactional vocabulary. Expressions such as “(I) wouldn’t buy a Korean woman” conceptualize women as objects of evaluation and selection.
