초록
This study aims to analyse the use of hate speech in the 2022-2024 Liberation Day celebrations of Korea’s 20th president, Yoon Suk-yeol. It was found that Yoon used hate speech to refer to his opponents, as he tended to stigmatise people or groups who were politically opposed to him as a negative group. He ‘used’ hate speech to promote his policies and appeal to the legitimacy of his political views. And the discussion of intertextuality showed that this attitude was repeated in the emergency martial law he imposed on 3 December 2024.
