초록
The purpose of this study is to comprehensively explore the contents of digital competencies of young children, learners in the early stages of life, according to the advent of the digital transformation era. To this end, individual interviews were conducted with 8 early childhood teachers who operate a digital-based future kindergarten curriculum or practice digital play and activities in various ways in the classroom. As a result of the study, the contents of the digital competencies that young children are thirsting for today are 1) correct digital awareness (recognizing the benefits of digital, recognizing the harms of digital, knowing how to use basic digital), 2) subjective digital participation (learning by using digital technology, playing by using digital technology), and 3) safe digital management (regulating digital use time, protecting oneself from digital dangers) were derived. The derived digital competencies for young children are generally similar to those of other school-level learners, but in detail, it can be seen that the digital experience is still limited and the characteristics of early life learners who need to build basic competencies are reflected.
