This article explores phased processes for institutionalization of the Media Education. Institutionalization of the Media Education has to consider current Schooling System. Three arguments are settled for institutionalization of the Media Education. First, necessity of the Media Education has to be concretize. Second, educational object of the Media Education has to be clear. Third, institutionalization method of the Media Education has to be seek.
 Institutionalization of the Media Education is accomplished in three phased processes; Complementary stage, Unifying stage, Unique stage. Complementary stage correspond to cooperating with teaching-learning activities in schooling. It has to provide content and methodology of education with schooling, maintaining current Media Education system being out of Schooling. Unifying stage correspond to unifying with 7th Korean Language Education Curriculum. In here, Media Education has to be exit as a scope of 'viewing' or 'reading' or a subordinate educational contents under its. Unique stage correspond to incorporating into a course of study. Finally, after phased processing, Media Education has to be exit as an independent curriculum
