초록

With the advancement of artificial intelligence technology and the progression of digital transformation, algorithmic management is expanding beyond digital labor platforms into traditional work environments. This study examines the adequacy of algorithmic management regulation through a comparative analysis of the EU AI Act and Platform Work Directive, focusing on transparency and participation requirements. The research finds that while the AI Act presents comprehensive transparency requirements, it shows limitations in addressing labor-specific contexts due to its broad scope and market-oriented priorities. The Platform Work Directive, although limited to digital labor platforms, establishes effective regulatory standards by specifying information provision criteria and mechanisms for participation of union. This Directive provides a practical model for algorithmic management regulation and serves as a starting point for developing standards to protect workers in both platform and traditional work environments. The findings of this analysis are expected to provide a foundational framework for establishing integrated regulatory standards for algorithmic management in South Korea,
