초록
Purpose - This study examined the current status of social participation, participation constraints, latent demand, and digital inclusion challenges among community-dwelling older adults in Busan, South Korea, with a focus on leisure, tourism, and learning. Design/methodology/approach - This study conducted a secondary analysis of the Busan subsample from the 2023 National Survey of Older Koreans. A total of 723 older adults were included, and weighted descriptive statistics and frequency analysis were used to analyze participation patterns, barriers, digital inclusion, latent demand, and community environment. Findings - First, current participation was concentrated in low-intensity leisure activities such as walking, while participation in learning activities, volunteering, and senior job or social activity support programs remained low. Second, latent demand was relatively high for social gatherings, travel and tourism, and hobby activities. Third, lack of information, economic burden, poor health, and digital adaptation difficulties were identified as major barriers.
