초록
To guarantee the rights to content enjoyment for visually impaired individuals in the rapidly growing global webtoon market, this study redefines webtoons from their conventional form as a “Collection of images” into “Multimodal HTML supporting logical reading” and derives the necessary accessibility standard guidelines. Additionally, to implement these guidelines in practice, a Vision Language Model (VLM) based automated generation methodology is proposed, and a prototype system is developed. Usability testing conducted with 20 visually impaired participants revealed highly positive feedback on this new form of webtoon experience, facilitated by emotion-conveying dialogue and immersive sound effects. This study is significant as it simultaneously provides both the standard guidelines and the technical foundation necessary for realizing digital inclusion in the webtoon sector.
