초록
This study aims to examine the relationship between digital literacy and life satisfaction among older adults, and to investigate the moderating effect of digital device self-efficacy. The analysis utilized data from the 2024 Digital Divide Survey conducted by the National Information Society Agency of Korea. The sample included 943 individuals aged 65 and older. Moderation analysis was performed using Model 1 of the SPSS PROCESS Macro, along with a test for the significance of simple slopes. The main findings are as follows. First, digital literacy had a significant positive effect on life satisfaction among older adults. Second, the moderating effect of digital device self-efficacy on the relationship between digital literacy and life satisfaction was statistically significant. For individuals with low levels of digital self-efficacy, digital literacy negatively affected life satisfaction. As self-efficacy increased, the negative effect gradually diminished, and beyond a certain threshold, the relationship shifted in a positive direction. Based on these findings, the study suggests the need for a multidimensional approach to enhancing digital literacy among older adults—one that
