초록
The paper attaches weight to a critics on the national paradigm in the German society which makes collective prejudices and negative images about migrants and strangers disturbing their integration in the host society. This attempt means a rediscovery of migrant’s value and contribution which have been undervalued by the majority. A prerequisite for this step may be the effort of the migrates to overcome their own negative images, that’s the “struggle for recognition”. The struggle and voice of migrants may be essential for a paradigm shift in immigration debate. It’s also a transnational progress that means a constant interaction and interconnection between immigration community and host society. The history of German labour migration which will be here analyzed confirms it. Also, the German case shall become a starting point for understanding the multicultural phenomenon in the Korean society.
