초록
This study investigated on ‘the popular songs passed down by the general public’ collected from Taeyang Village in Wangcheon-hyun, Yanbian, in other words, the private popular songs, in connection with the trend of village or Chinese society. In case of traditional song, it was continuously under social suppression through the Japanese colonial period and the period of the Cultural Revolution but seems to maintain its vitality somehow in villages as long as the generation of pioneer settlers exists. Especially the revolution songs were accepted by the people after the process of censorship in governmental level. This tendency was also revealed in creative songs and the Chaoxian private popular songs had clear justification for contributing to the development of socialistic national culture so that they were focussed on how to ideologically enlighten the people rather than traditional praise.
