초록
The number of North Korean refugee youth to South Korea has increased continually since 2000. Most of them have difficulty in adapting to South Korea, including low academic achievement in school, high rate of dropout, and digital literacy. Although digital divide can affect the young defectors' adaptation in South Korean society, there are few studies to explore ideas which reduce the problem of digital divide. The purpose of this study was to suggest policy implications for reducing digital divide of North Korean refugee youth in the perspective of christian education. The previous research and literature related to the digital divide and North Korean defectors, and some useful implications were drawn for facilitating education for the North Korean refugee youth in order to narrow the digital divide. The results of the study were as the followings. First, the digital divide education as a inner healing process was suggested. Second, to build a sound educational infrastructure for digital literacy education, it is better to provide PCs and internet utilization fee for the multi-user organization, such as christian schools which are the major supporting organization for the North K
